Lucky Day! While out prowling an area that a friend had said they have seen fox before,
I happened to notice an outcropping on a hillside that looked promising as an area where
a fox, or even a coyote, might make a den. This isn't the time of year a person is likely
to find a den with pups in it, but it is still a place to start from. As luck would have
it, within seconds this fox made an appearance as it was out hunting for rodents and it
crested the top of the hill.

I wasn't able to get my camera into action in time to take advantage of the sunrise lighted
side of the hill, but I did find the fox on the "dark side" of the hill and was able to get
some so-so images. This is one.
