11/09/2011 - Around 1030 hours the Bridgewater Fire Department was requested to 16 Sanger Street, where workers reportedly stuck a power line with a ladder and were unconscious. Upon companies arrival they found two workers whose aluminum ladder had struck a primary line, carrying 13,800 volts of electricity. One victim had no pulse, and the second victim had non-life threatening injuries. With the use of a defibrillator, a pulse was restored to the victim. Due to other calls, mutual aid ambulances were called to the scene from East Bridgewater and West Bridgewater. East Bridgewater took the more serious patient and transported to the landing zone where they met Boston MedFlight. That patient was transported to the Massachusetts General Hospital. The West Bridgewater ambulance transported their victim to the Good Samaritian Medical Center. The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Bridgewater Police Department and OSHA.
