11/02/2009 - About 20-30 minutes after we arrived back at our hotel for the second time in the night, a box alarm was struck for a fire at E Jefferson Street at Phillip Street. After receiving a tip from a buff on-scene who was riding on Squad-6, we took the job in. When we arrived we found a fully involved 2.5 story wood framed vacant dwelling. Companies mounted a defensive attack on the structure and protected the occupied exposure to the "B" side of the fire building. Firefighters made a great stop, keeping the heavy fire from extending to the exposure.
