09/25/2010 - The city of Hamtramck MI is within the city limits of Detroit. Their fire department has 6 members on-duty, one of which is the dispatcher. They also run their own ambulance service. They responded to Joesph Campau at Florian for a reported fire in a commercial building around 2130 hours. They arrived to find a fully involved store front. The first engine dumped its monitor into the building. Once a water supply was set up, a deck gun and blitz gun were used to knock down the heavy fire. Once the heavy fire was knocked down, companies made an interior attack and then overhauled. Hamtramck very rarely gives, or recieves mutual aid from its neighbors Detroit and Highland Park.
