08/17/2011 - Around 1130 hours Brockton Firefighters responded to the area of Main Street at Plain Street for a reported gas line that was struck by a work crew. Companies arrived and found a 4" line with an active leak. Area buildings were checked with meters for gas, but all checked OK. Companies were tied up on the scene for a while, as they waited for Columbia Gas to respond with a crew.
