04/14/2008 Around 2100 hours Bridgewater MA firefighters responded to a possible building fire at "Chuckrans Auto Parts" on Old Plymouth Street (Route 104). Upon their arrival companies found a 60x100 2-story stack of cars fully involved. The OIC went up through three alarms, plus special calls bringing in numerous mutual aid companies to work and cover. The cars, that were stacked 10-15 high in some spots, needed to be separated two at a time to expose all the fire. Crews remained on-scene until 0700 hours the next day extinguishing the fire. Numerous ladder pipes and handlines were used to knock the fire down. I went to the fire with Whitman Engine-2 following the third alarm and was able to snap a few shots and take a few short videos. Thanks to Eric Hoffman for the first couple shot of what firefighters saw from the street on arrival.
