04/04/2012 - Around 1500 hours on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 4, 2012 the Brockton Fire Department responded to a reported brush fire at the end of Taber Avenue. Companies arrived to find a large brush fire at the end of Taber Avenue. The first due engine requested an additional engine and also tied into several hydrants for water supply. Squad-A set up on Parker Street, while Engine-10, spare with Ladder-1's crew, worked on Taber Avenue, near Williams Court. Both pieces secured hydrants for water supply. This brush fire was just one in the state of Massachusetts, as the fire weather was a class five day, the most extreme, due to the extremely dry conditions, and high winds. No injuries were reported, and no structures were affected.
