"Rusty" by Alopa*

Buenos Aires -Argentina

I saw this ruined metallic structure every day in my way to the office. By the way, someone asked me if this is an HDR image. Certainly it is not, but I think it seems to be. What I could tell you about this image is that after shooting I adjusted the EV watching the histogram to avoid any clipping, mainly highlight clipping that I think is the most annoyed. Then, I adjust the tonal range of the image by means of PP. You can see the original image before PP at "http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1009&message=26753947"

Like your perspective on this; great color as well, and love the sky.

I've always seen beauty in rusty things and this is no exception, I like it! I really like your low viewpoint here, it sure makes that old tower (water tower?) stand out against the sky. Good eye to have noticed this and you captured it well Daniel!

Sky: you are (always) right. So your comments made me decide to change the link in the caption link. Now it points to thread where I explained more about the original shot. I think it could be useful for beginners.

Daniel, I viewed the pre-pp image and I must say that you did an excellent job in uncovering the beauty in this rusty beast. The colors are awesome. Rarely do we get the opportunity to view a before and after photo - so that was special in itself. Awesome-awesome!
