Beautiful shot, Denise. I can't remember this one specifically, but I agree with your assessments. At every turn in the road, the vista changes so much you just have to stop again to drink it in and take another picture. I have also made a similar comment to yours: "Every Canadian should have the opportunity to travel this highway at least once in their lives!"
It's one of the few 2.5-hour drives in the world that you need 10 hours to drive!

Thanks!! When driving the Icefields Parkway, with every turn of your head there is another fabulous scene. This truly is a road that should be driven at least once in a lifetime. We only did half of the drive this time and it took us 10 hours because I was out of the car every two minutes.

Just beautiful Denise. The trees in the foreground lend a good sense of scale...that is one huge rock! Very clear and sharp image and perfect for the challenge!

I thought as a nostalgic Swiss (living abroad), I knew everything about mountains; but I see there is still much more to learn... Beautiful image, Denise! -- db.
