Great capture of this pretty little bird! I like the crop and processing that bottles did, also.

Oooh, pretty bird! Great clarity and detail. How close WERE you to this guy? Wonderful capture!---Deb

Bottles, thanks for the suggestions and the time you put into implementing some of those changes. I like the clarity you've added, and I've already downloaded Neat Image. I'm still fairly new to this, so your help is much appreciated.

Marie, you really captured this flicker well...neat how his beak is covered with those "crumbs" :) Nice color, clarity, and exposure here. Take a look at bottles changes...I think they look great with your image too. Nice shot, Marie. MFC

Wow, beautiful shot Marie. How did you get so close to the bird? Even using full zoom you must have been pretty close. * As for critique, it's really just a matter of personal preference of course. I'd probably prefer seeing less background, I've put an example in the Demo folder. After cropping the image, I ran a noise reduction filter (Neat Image) to remove some noise while softening the feathers of the bird a little. Then, using a layer mask, I selectively removed the softness from the eye area as well as the green feeder area. I then sharpened those areas just a little. Lastly, since I didn't have the full size image, I enlarged the image just a little.
