This is amazing! (I thought twice about entering it, because it seems a bit unusual and therefore draws attention and has trouble going unnoticed, as often happens with new inventions.) The shot of this new device IS however, up close and personal.
It has been a boon to us mostly because dogs, when they eat milk bones tend to leave crumbs on the carpet. This won't particularly surprise you, but when Tessie (my dog shown here) got the idea that when she hopped into this feeder she got a milkbone, it was hard to keep her out.
Three times she has tried to jump in when the lid was on, caught her hind leg on that knobby thing at the top and fell awkwardly. So now what we do is leave the lid in the milkbone box. Whenever Tess wants a milkbone she jumps into the Bodum clean as a whistle and waits for the top to be put on with the milkbone atached (see pic). Then she nibbles it off the hanger licks up the crumbs off the glass floor and hops out. If we don't get to the lid before she hops out she bumps her head, and it makes a bit of a racket. But, hey, the positives WAY outweigh the negatives.
I wish they'd come up with this kinda thing years ago, It's soooo useful. Ann C. might like to know that cats can use it too, but if they jump in it with kitty litter on their paws, it gets kind of difficult for them to tell the litter from the crumbs and that makes me a bit queasy.
I heard a rumor that Starbucks was going to carry these sometime soon. Then you could carry your dog into Starbucks in one and they could chew by your side while you surf the internet, looking at all the crazy pics in the latest challenge. Cheers, Fremiet
