BANTAYAN-CHURCH*
Rob Flanery

Bantayan Island, Philippines

The second oldest standing structure in the Philippines, Bantayan church has seen the rise and fall of the Spanish occupation, the patriarchal governing of the United States, The ruthless occupation of The imperial armies of Japan, and final transition to a quasi free democracy. It is built from coral blocks and only becomes more lovely with the passage of time.

Rob, I love the drama created by the perspective you have chosen for the shot. The use of a polarizer also enhances the shot. Great work! Roberta

Very effective perspective, Rob...nice sense of age on the structure...beautiful sky/clouds. MFC

What a beautiful church, and I like the perspective you've chosen. You can almost see the clouds rushing past overhead as a metaphor for the passage of time. Lisafx
