Deb, your selective coloring works very well here. I love how the two cardinals look toward one another...an extra special touch to the scene...well composed. Very neat how the background is so uniformly "busy" that it actually simplifies the overall scene nicely here...maximum attention is given to just those two little birds amidst all that branching. Eye-catching and really pleasing to look at. I really like it...good idea and well done! MFC
Aah, reducing colors from the image is another clever way of reaching the theme. Quite efficient in this photo. I like it that birds seem to look at each other from compositionally strong places in the image.
