Mid-day Minimal Moon lV
10th Place

by Deb Kees

Per MFC's suggestion, the moon has been moved! Thrice! Also went back to the original image dimensions and contrast level in the moon.
Thanks for the kudos! If anyone is interested in seeing the previous three attempts,
they are in the Demo Folder.

I like the positioning and the framing of this one, Deb. Definitely the best of all the versions. Excellent work and perfect fit for the challenge.

Beautifully minimal!

This is a very clean, simple and smooth, yet interesting photo. The crop, as it is now, works well -gives the eye a natural look on the moon as it is higher on the frame.

Cannot remember about the first composition, but this one is fantastic! The diagonal of the moon perfectly is adding to the square framing.

Similar to your icicle photo, Deb, this makes a nice simple/minimal composition...and I love the contrast of the half-moon set against the plain, clear-blue sky here. It's fine just the way it is; but, if this was my photo, I'd consider moving the moon from where it is to a position about halfway further toward the upper right corner. Good idea & a nice photo. MFC
