VVRC 100 Lap Race, 27 Apr 2008

Every year for about the last 5 years the Vaca Valley Radio Control club has held 2 100 lap races, one at the begining of summer and one at the end. The rules... You must fly 100 laps with no pylon cuts and you must make at least one fuel stop. That's about it. Oh, there are a few safety related items, if your plane is down on the other side of the runway you CAN NOT retrieve it and a few others, but the real meat of is its any anything goes sort of race. Trainers, warbirds, pattern... any size... any make... any model. They are all legal. If you bring it you can race it here (sorry, no jets though). It's a real relaxed (well, maybe not for the pilots) race that's very low key and in the end turns out to be a real hoot.
When's the next race? Sunday Sept 28th. So, get a good steady flyer ready, get your thumbs ready and we'll see you come September.

BTW, the quality of of the in-flight photos isn't what I'm used to getting but, I put a few of them up anyway. Wanted to show you a little of the action no matter how bad it looked. Enjoy!
