Another casualty

Another casualty of the concentration of commerce is the roadside shop. Found along secondary highways, Nova Scotia has more of these than anywhere else I have lived in Canada. Many of these were artisan shops: cobblers, appliance repair, clothing repair, the type of thing that, if they still exist, are now in strip malls. The vegetable stands seem to be surviving but small trades shops are disappearing.
