On a short visit to Carmen de Atrato in February 0f 2005, I met members of OCCCA by luckas they returned from a convite—collective work. They invited me to their headquarters to discuss their organization, and willingly posed for portraits. In September of the same year, I was able to visit them again, in what I hope will be a series of meetings to document their work. This is an organization of 196 small coffee-growing families, 5 families that grow sugar cane, and 100 families of displaced people that have been incorporated as a solidarity gesture--some of these have also become members. Durante una visita breve a Carmen de Atrato en febrero del 2005, por suerte conocí a miembros de la OCCCA cuando volvián de un "convite"—labor colectiva. Me invitaron a su sede para hablar sobre su organización, y con afán posaron por sus retratos. En septiembre del mismo año, tuve la posibilidad de volver a visitarlos, en que espero que sea una de una serie de visitas para documentar su trabajo. Esta es una organización de unas 196 familias caficultoras pequeñas, 50 familias cañaculturas, y 100 familias desplazadas que han incluidos como gesta de solidaridad--algunas de ellas ya han vuelto socios.
