I was born in 1948 in the Fyfe-Jamieson Maternity Home (as it was called then). Seems it no longer exists!

Stevan - well done with all your photos. It is great when you type in Forfar etc and your web page comes up! These photos are quite outstanding! I cant believe how well you have done - I just love the shots of Balmashanner - my favourite place. My own Fyfe family owned the Quarry there - known as Fyfe's Quarry and my great-grandfather worked there until he was called up to fight in World War I. I have loads of connections to Fyfe - Lowson, Petrie, Loudon, Milne, Dawson, Mudie - the list is endless! But I am absolutely delighted to see Forfar in all its glory - well done!

Great collection that tells a story. Good to see for the most part that your street scenes are not close ups of car licence plates. Traffic is the curse of a good shot. Would love to see your shots on our Scottish site, please come and have a wee gander... http://www.scotlandone.com
