It was a 12 hour drive to Dubois Idaho. Spent two morning shooting the Sage Grouses. Went inside the blind before 6 am in total darkness (sunrise @ 7 am) and stayed until birds flew away @ 8:30 am. The actual good shooting happened between 7 am and 8 am when the light was good enoguh but not too harsh. After the second morning shooting, drove to Yellowstone Nationa Park. Only the north entrance was open and the road between the north entrance and northeast entrance was open to auto. Saw two different wolves but they were too far away for any decent shots. After staying two days in Gardiner, drove back home and visited Glacier National Park on the way. From the east entrance, only the road from Saint Mary entrance to Rising Sun was open. Spent only an hour or so inside the park before the 4 hour drive home.
