I thought that I could port my way out of the problem; and save myself a lot of time and aggravation: port the hole past those 'little' raised spots, and things would be fine. Very wrong was I.
When I started porting the hole, I kept running into iron behind or beyond the hole inside the housing. That wasn't right. I decided to put a flat file to the surface to bring to light the severity of the warp. I filed the warped area down. It's a big warp.
Well, it was time to remove the turbine housing and get to the bottom of the problem. Once identified, I would then have some guidelines to use in examing some other turbine housings to hopefully find a usable replacement.
