The Savage River checkpoint is 13 miles in from the park entrance, and is the turnaround point for most privately owned vehicles. Only tour buses or those having other official business (camping, etc.) inside the park are allowed past -- except on "lottery days" at the end of the season.

By the way -- don't ask why I was shooting 1600 ISO here! Had forgotten it was there from a previous shoot. Canon can handle high ISO fairly well, however, all things considered!
