Chenega Bay, Prince William Sound, Alaska

In mid July 2007 I trained a couple biologists in the native village of Chenega Bay on Evan's Island to band hummingbirds under my federal bird banding permit. Here are my favorite photos from that trip. I had a wonderful time and can't wait to return!

Do hummingbirds live year around on the island you live on in Pr. Wm Sound? I thought I heard Kate talk on public radio show one night say that she bands hummingbirds and a few live year around on the island. Did I hear it wrong?
