Built in late 12th century, Bayon fascinates tourists because of over 200 large faces carved on 54 towers.
Some scholars think that the faces represent Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara,
while most think it represents King Jayavarman II and signify the omnipresence of the king.

These are the statues I have been looking for for my bamboo garden!! I have found them, you have named them - now I just have to find where to get a copy. Wonderful pictures - I'm a photographer too. Great work, wish I could go there.
