I suppose the main reason I chose Tamil Nadu was Sri Meenakshi temple. It as a good town; not too many tourists considering the temple. One good thing is that store owners surrounding the temple will come out into the street and invite you up to their rooftop for better views of the gopuram if you will look at their [rugs, sculptures, jewelry, etc.]. I happily took them up, looked at exquisite rugs, and told him that I was ever so grateful for their hospitality.
