Well, this is a new response to Lhasa. It's actually not so horrible. The key is to spend as little time as possible in the Chinese districts and to get out of the city completely when at all possible. The monasteries surrounding the city are simply amazing. The countryside is spectacular and the Tibetan people are amazing.
