Well, there is not much to this little town. It seems it's mostly a place to hang out and shop between backwater journeys. I signed up for such a journey but when the time came, the thought of being paddled through some backwaters in a boat with 25 strangers for six hours made me a bit nauseous, so I skipped it and instead rented a bicycle and went for a nice ride around the less populated areas of Kochi. It's a not terrible place. Nothing great. I guess in not going on the backwater thingy, I really sort of missed out on the whole reason to go to Kochi, but it was the end of my trip and I was tired. I've now been to Kerala twice and have yet to see the fabled backwaters, so sue me.
