Went to Kandy again. It's got to be one of the most beautiful places on earth. Stayed again at the Republic Inn, up the hill. Had more of the amazing and free breakfasts served up by the great proprietor. It's a great hotel and you get a room for 11 dollars. The price hadn't changed since I was there in 2004. Little else had changed, really. Except that I don't remember having to pay to get into the Temple of the Tooth. I made a big stink about this, as is my wont, but paid anyway.
