A super nice place. I went here to just sort of kill time while the Chinese embassy in Ha Noi processed my visa. I had no real expectations, since my guide book barely mentions the place and I had barely even ever considered coming here, but it is a very nice town. Quiet, elegant, seemingly affluent. Good food, nice markets, nice temples. I recommend it highly. The only downside is virtually no one speaks English here, so be prepared.
