Well so but I flew to Aurangabd not just to see that beautiful town, but also to see the Ellora Caves. It was also my intention to see the Ajanta Caves, but my well-known laziness kept me from going when I learned they were 2.5 hours away. So I only saw Ellora, and they were amazing. I have to say I was very impressed, particularly with the main rock cut temple, which for some reason I've been calling the Shiva Temple, though I know it has another name and one day when I am less lazy, I will open my book and find out what that name is. But for now, let's call it the Shiva Temple at Ellora.

Some of the caves are pretty, well, dull, but most are extremely impressive. Photography is difficult without a tripod which I was on this trip, you guessed it, too lazy, to bring. I did my best with my newfound ability to hold the camera still at 1/10 of a second with ISO turned WAY up. Shoot in RAW format and lighten it up on the computer! All that to avoid carrying a tripod!
