So at the end of my Gujarat trip, I went to Diu as a base to fly back to Mumbai to catch my plane home to Cairo. Diu is nice. It's touristy, but you can't deny its beauty and fairly livable climate. I suppose, weather-wise, if you're going to be in Gujarat before the rains, Diu is as nice a place as any.I was there in 2003 as well, but in August, after the rains and it was so much greener then. This trip, it was very brown and scrubby, but still nice. It's filled with Indians on holiday and good food and beautiful beaches and fishing villages.
Archway, Diu's amazing fort
Fishing village, the fleet has docked
They caught some big ass fish
Garlic cluster
Sorting the catch
Primordial soup
The fort's sea wall
Ah, India
I find cows, as is well known at this point, to be absolutely irresistable subjects
