We flew from Leh to Delhi and then hired a car to drive us to lovely Ramnagar to see the Corbett Tiger Reserve. It was nice, though I'm not a big fan of the safari industry. We had an afternoon "canter" safari. We all sort of wondered what a canter safari might be and if you are I can tell you: it's a bus. You get on a bus, with a suspension system built by the Mughals, and bounce through the park for close to four and a half hours with 15 other people. We then had two private safaris, in jeeps, which began at dawn, like 5 am dawn. We saw some wildlife, not much. And the park itself is not much to look at. But, we saw two herds of elephants on their way to water.
