I really liked Ahmedabad and Gujarat in general. The Gujaratis are incredibly warm, friendly people. NOT ONCE in probably 12 days in Gujarat did anyone ask me for money or say, "Hello, Friend. What is your country?" I had two men who showed me around sites (one hindu temple and one tomb) both REFUSED my offer to pay them. It's almost like Gujarat isn't part of India.

Gujaratis really are the nicest people.
They have these enormous, carved wells, called, I believe Baolis. they are amazing, but impossible to photograph well.
