Message from Stephen Luk
I have a B.Sc. (zoology) from the University of Guelph, Ontario. I recently completed a M.Sc. in environmental biology (entomology), at the University of Guelph Insect Collection and Insect Systematics Laboratory. I work with flies (Diptera) but have expertise on Canadian firefly beetles (Coleoptera), for which I recently authored an identification guide to the fireflies of Ontario.
Nature has been a childhood fascination since I arrived in Canada from Hong Kong in 1997. I am an amateur photographer with a strong interest in insects, having initiated my collection of arthropod images as a contributor to BugGuide.net (my account). However, I like to collect images of living organisms in general, primarily from my home and travels in southern Ontario. Thanks for visiting my photo galleries!
