Arches

Went out to watch the sunset at the lighthouse at Ft. Casey on Whidbey Island.
It became evident to me today, that my emotional state and mood directly impact
my ability to make good images with the little black box I carry around my neck.
I was having a bad day, and I pretty much hated everything I came home with image wise.
So, why am I whining about this here? Just because it occurs to me that the majority
of good image making, at least for me, happens outside of the confines of my equipment...
It is not the camera, it is not the lens, rather it is the vision that I do or do not
allow myself to see. ;)

Good points, Terri! We all share the ups and downs of inspiration (or not!), but you capture beauty even when you may not appreciate it. That's what we're here for!

The secret to photography is "first being there at the right moment, and with the will to share it with others." What the viewer decides or thinks doesn't really matter; since the moment, reality, memory and image is yours. Another great photo! =v=

Fortunately, sometimes the beauty of our surroundings can impact our moods. Guess it's about being present. You are certainly present in this shot! :) V
