I used my 300 mm lense to zoom in and compress this crime scene where two police officers were wounded and a suspect was killed in a shootout. The incident occurred overnight in Green Oak Township, just south of Brighton, Michigan. A Brighton officer and a Green Oak Township officer were wounded in the gun battle. The police had the area cordoned off so it was difficult to get a meaningful shot. Everyone was pretty much standing around drinking coffee when I arrived so I went with a more arty approach with the sharp foreground on the state police car hood and a blurred background.
