Ian Fulcher, AKA MC Trashpedal, is an Ann Arbor-based hoise artist and musician, creator of "circuit-bent" guitar pedals, half of the band "Drafted by Minotaurs." This is an outtake from a shoot on did on my own time for a story in the Ann Arbor News. Here's the paper's profile. This was a bit difficult to take because of the low lighting. I took some bounced flash shots, then settled on using the natural light (late afternoon coming from western windows in Fulcher's apartment). I stepped down as far as I could, pushed the ISO to 800 and shutterspeed to 1/50 of a second. I actually like the bit of noise from the high ISO because it lends to the more grittier look of the photo.
