Don Phalen is a wildife carver with a national and international reputation. His subject matter focuses on waterfowl, songbirds and raptors, both realistic and interpretative. His works may be found in corporate and private collections including that of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. They also form part of the art collection of both the Provincial (Manitoba) and Federal Governments.|
Under the auspices of the Canadian Craft Museum (Vancouver) and the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, his crations have been displayed as representative of Canadian Art in venues throughout North America and Southeast Asia. His works have been submitted for critical evaluation in the Canadian, North American and World Championships and have amassed over two hundred awards.
