This oil burning Hawaiian Plantation engine was built by Baldwin in 1891 as a coal burner and was originally purchased by the Kaiwiki Sugar Company plantation in Hawaii. It was subsequently sold to Waimanalo Sugar Company and run on the Waimanalo Plantation on the windward side of Oahu in Hawaii.
