Each passenger of a flight is invited on a tour of the hangar at Friedrichshaven Airport. The hangar doubles as storage and yard- unfortenately, right now they are not building any new ones. Still you are shown pieces of equipment up close and given the chance to compare the weight of vintage and contemporary trusses (duralaluminium vs. fiberglass composite). The hangar itself (at 109 x 69 x 32 metres LxWxH) is a far cry from the ones used to house airships in their golden days
