The V200 Diesel-electric was put into service in 1953 and withdrawn from main line duty in 1988. Several locos remain in museums or in service with private companies. At 80 tons they reach a maximum speed of 140 km/h. The livery design was heavily influenced by the then modern Volkswagen Bus.
