A Couple of Swells c. 1891

Labeled only "The Browns" in my great grandmother's
personal photographs, I'll never know who these gents
were or what they meant to her. Suitors? Cousins?
We'll never know. Only that the photo was taken in Halifax,
England in around 1891.

A lesson here: If you believe in the future, label your photos!

I like these photos. The clothes they wore back then and all. Funny how some things evolve. The dark collar. A great heirloom.

I hope someone on PBase would know these gents. That would solve the mystery . Or maybe just leave it in the treasure chest.
