It seems that Orrin Hatch, the esteemed senator from Utah, is fond of throwing arcane words into his speeches. (The last person I remember doing that was Spiro Agnew.) Senator Hatch recently decried the Democrats' craven desire to absquatulate from Iraq. Apparently it was coined in the 19th century from the words "abscond" and "squat."
When the apple rolled off it's plate during my shot, I had to laugh at its attempted getaway.
