Shooting into the Light: Steel

I've seen some very powerful photographs that
definitely break the rule about keeping the sun to
your back when you shoot. I'm trying to work out
the technique for doing it well.

Never mind the lens shade. Half the fun is getting (or not) the glare. What color? How much? great photo. Lee

I like this type of shot. It takes a mechanical thing or structure and gives it some life and character. Nice one.

The lighting effect of shooting into, or near, the sun is good, but watch out for the flare and internal reflections. Maybe a lens shade would help?
