This shot was taken in sever conditions (at least I thought so). It was very early and quite cold with the thermometer sitting at a bit bellow -10 degrees F. The snow was warmed slightly by the glow of the morning sun about 20 minutes before sun rise. Taken at Sunrise point at the top of the rim in Bryce National Park, this shot shows the fresh 1 foot of new snow that fell the previous night and the gentle patterns formed by the wind. A .7 stop digital Graduated ND filter was used to darken the sky a bit.
