Winter

Winter is an exciting time as the first snowfall is breath-taking! Snowshoes add an element of excitement as one navigates throughout the property. Being able to visit the quiet coniferous conservation forest behind the property is exciting .... as we have it all to ourselves. Walking / snowshoeing the trails are fun as the birds follow us anticipating an opportunity to eat peanuts and black oiled sunflower seeds from our hands!

It is an exciting season as we can expect turkeys to land on the feeders and fly up into the trees! Always a thrill to behold!!

our first winter there we were not sure when to expect winter - our sage neighbour who lived off Old School Road told us that we could expect winter to arrive when the 'swamp filled in'. He was right!
