Love this sort of dirty shot! Great capture and she looks so cool and happy. Hope the block lifts soon. Why not mail me the 5D and then you'd soon want it back to take new pics?! LOL

I haven't really even posted alot lately, I'm soooo in a slump, no idea what will get me out of it. Maybe a new camera?
Maybe the trip to Burning Man? I need a wide angle though...
(It's all about gear, apparently, we need to blame SOMETHING other than ourselves.)
I like the shadow patterns on that characterful face. :-) Sorry to hear about your "photo slump". I felt like that recently when we had two months of virtually non stop rain so I do sympathise!
We've pretty much escaped oppressive H&H here in San Diego... so any slump I am in cannot be blamed on that. I like your subject here; although he kinda blends into the background. That said, please explain Pierre's comments to me. ;-)
Happier than a pig in #^$@ :-) The oppressive heat and humidity certainly affects me too :(

If I had a 5D I would freak out taking photos! Somewhere in NY must be beautiful! This I wrote two days ago about beauty for myself - maybe it helps.
We should experience beauty as both good and evil, generation and destruction, order and chaos, angelic and demonic, calm and fury, substance and nothingness, life and death, etc.
Mozart, Nietzsche, and Pollock had a fury burning in them; not least because of the ambivalence unexpressable in the impotent superficial order of the mechanistic logical machine in which they operated.
