TRUTH IN ADVERTISING

I was eager to get to sleep early tonight for a change.
As I was thinking about heading upstairs for the night
I decided to do one last check to see what my fellow photographers were up to.
I was so impressed with the tutorial that Karen Leaf spoke about, that I had to give it a try.
Here then is my neice, made more magazine worthy by photoshopmama.

Doesn't the photo on the right look like I cropped it so her head is larger?
I didn't, they are identical crops.

And now, it is 12:05am and 11 degrees outside.
the dogs need one last walk before I can sleep.
I will find a way to get even with Karen for this

These touch ups are wonderful, I think you did a superb job.
Where can I find the tutorial?

heheh . . what did you plan for KL??
I like how the golds in her hair pop in the re-done version =)

Beautiful portrait, Liza! Nice job on her skin and hair, and I love the warm coloring! I'll have to check out that tutorial.

Wow - what a fantastic job you did! Beautiful girl already, but now the photo quality is superb. I use Paintshop but should really convert to Photoshop so I can learn properly...

Robin's comment is funny...

Really this is grat, you made this a better image without making her look like an alien (I've seen THAT trick here on pbase...the oversofteneing and then erasing the eyes and mouth? THAT only works when you understand the word SUBTLE, which, YOU clearly do)

She is clearly the same girl, you haven't taken away what she really looks like, yet you turned it to a much more flattering shot...warm and a bit softer, with those gorgeous tones.

Excellent work.

Wow, she's a beautiful girl, made even more beautiful! I need to read thru this tutorial. Perfect timing, as I'm starting Photoshop classes on Wednesday! :)

When you get a chance please go through all my SPs and clean them up for me so I can look handsome! ;-) LOL
Maybe a jackhammer would be a better tool.

Super job! And I'm sure you can explain all the things that were discussed :)
I think I'm hooked on layer masks, now. Took long enough.

Sorry about making you stay up late, but glad to have the company, lol.

I haven't pursued that tutorial yet. And it is obvious that you made excellent upgrades.
Sweet dreams.
