ancestry_6.jpg

something brown spilled on the man on the
left with the great nose. I've done a quick retouching
job to try to restore the photo but you will see a bit
of deformity.

The man in the center (looking directly at the camera) looks familiar to me but I can't place him.

Thanks to the help of the British film institute, I think I can
identify the man second from the right as producer-director John Boulting,
although it could be his brother, Roy.

If anyone can help identify any of the people in the photo
I would be most appreciative.

For more information on what this is all about look at the write up on the gallery page.

thank you

The man on the far left with the "great nose" is a wonderful german actor called Anton Diffring. He escaped from Nazi Germany in 1939 and then had a very long and distinguished career playing despicable characters and ironically, a lot of Nazi officers among them. He was in many well known movies such as Victory with Sylvester Stallone, Operation Daybreak, Where Eagles Dare with Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton and Farenheit 451 with Oskar Werner. This is an amazing photo amongst a great collection. please add more if you are able.

The guy in the dark coat looks like John Bolting & I agree with J not Orson W & a very English looking group. The guy looking over his shoulder is familier, but cannot put a name to him

Nah, that ain't Welles. Google him & you'll see the difference. I'd bet you my lunch money these guys are all English.

Liza, this is a kinda lame guess, but the man on the right with all the hair looks sort of like Orson Wells
