chewing gum

Before stevie "matured" she used to carry around tennis balls, but
she didn't play with them as normal dogs do. She chewed them rhythmically.
She wouldn't touch a tennis ball unless I sliced a two inch slit in it which would
enable it to crush with the pressure of her teeth.

She's a quirky little girl.
