Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

Warsaw, Poland

The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Polish: Grób Nieznanego Żołnierza) is a monument in Warsaw, dedicated to the unknown soldiers who have given their lives for Poland.
Constructed as the arcade of Saxon Palace, which was destroyed in 1944.
It is one of many such national tombs of unknowns that were erected after World War I.

National Independence Day is a public holiday in Poland celebrated every year on 11th of November to commemorate the anniversary of Poland's assumption of independent statehood in 1918
after 123 years of partitions by Austria-Hungary, Germany and Russia.
The foundation of the Second Polish Republic is considered a key event by many Poles.
